Cookies / Third Party Tracking Tools

Google Analytics 4 & Advertising Features

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. To improve our services and marketing, we have enabled the following Google Analytics Advertising Features:

  • Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting – to better understand our audience and improve our advertising and marketing.
  • Google Ads Remarketing – to show relevant ads to users who have previously visited our website.
  • Google Signals – this feature enables Google to collect data about users via Google advertising cookies and identifiers. Where users are signed into their Google account and have consented to ads personalisation, Google may associate visit information from our website with information from those accounts. This allows for cross-device reporting and remarketing. We do not control this association and do not receive personally identifiable information from it.

How cookies are used
Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files stored on your device) to collect information such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and interactions.

What this means
When you visit our website, Google Analytics collects information about your visit. Where applicable, this may be associated by Google with information from signed-in users who have consented to ads personalisation.

Data collected
This may include your search history, YouTube history, and data from other sites that partner with Google. It may include device type / information, browser type, approximate location, and interactions with our website. Through Google Signals, this may also include aggregated insights derived from users’ interactions across multiple devices and Google services. We only receive aggregated reporting and do not receive information that directly identifies individual users.

Meta (Facebook) tracking
We use Meta Pixel tracking provided by Meta Platforms. This is a tracking technology that helps us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand user interactions on our website. We only receive aggregated reporting and do not receive information that directly identifies individual users.

Purpose of collection
We use this information to:

  • Improve our website and services
  • Understand audience behaviour and demographics
  • Deliver more relevant advertising

Cookies and third-party data
We and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as advertising cookies) together to measure ad performance and user interactions.

Data storage and transfers
For Google Analytics 4, data collected may be processed and stored on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States, in accordance with Google’s privacy and data protection practices.

Your control
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. You can manage your data and opt-out of ads personalisation at any time by visiting your Google My Ad Center  or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Option to adjust your Personal Facebook Ad Settings:  You can adjust these settings by being signed into your Facebook account and visiting Settings / Ads.

Remarketing and Google Ads Conversion Tracking

From time to time, Aztera Marketing uses remarketing services, including those provided by Google and Meta, to advertise our services.

This means:

  • Visitors to our website may see our ads on other websites or platforms
  • These ads are based on previous interactions with our website
  • We do not receive information that personally identifies individual users

Google Ads Enhanced Conversions
We use Google Ads Enhanced Conversions to improve the accuracy of our conversion tracking.

If you submit your details through our website (such as completing a form), your email address may be securely hashed (using SHA256 encryption) before being sent to Google. Google may then match this hashed data with its own user data to measure ad performance. This process is designed to protect your information, and we do not receive access to personally identifiable data from Google through this feature.

We collect this level of information so that we can continue to monitor, measure and improve our website performance, and to undertake and measure our promotional activities using Google Ads and/or Meta.

We undertake good principles and management of our IT systems and website. However, due to the very nature of websites and the digital / online world, it is impossible to guarantee 100% security.

At any point in time you have the right to ask for (1) a copy of any personal information we hold about you, or to (2) ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong, or (3) ask for your personal information to be deleted from our records.
