What does your Google Ads services cover?

We offer the full comprehensive Google Ads service. Currently our expertise is with Google Search ads, Google Display ads, and Google Shopping ads. For most small and medium-sized businesses this fully covers their Google Ads requirements.

If I have an Existing Google Ads campaign or Ads account, can you help?

If you already have an existing Google Ads campaign, we will happily provide an initial audit of your campaign set up and provide you with feedback. If you have an existing Google Ads account, we will continue to use this account.

Do I need to sign up with a Google Ads services contract?

With us, there is no need to have you signed up and locked into a Google Ads contract. We believe that customers have the right to have full flexibility with running their Google Ads campaigns. Being bound by a fixed 6- or 12-month Google Ads services contract doesn’t support or align with our approach. We offer our Wellington based Google Ads campaign management service, with no contractual requirements.

Should I use Google Ads as well as SEO?

Many businesses do choose to include Google Ads as well as SEO, especially if they are serious about being dominant on the top of page 1 search results. Reason being is that the Google Ads are displayed above the organic search results. And when customers are doing a search from their smartphone, this higher level of priority placement can often influence who gets clicked on.

How important is the Google Ads campaign structure?

The structure and setup of your Google Ads campaigns is critical for optimally managing your campaigns. At the top campaign account level, this is where you set your campaign budgets and the display locations for your ads. Each campaign has individual key settings for these key components. Within a Google Ads campaign, you can then create specific Ad Groups that have their own individual ad text copy and triggering keywords.

What’s the difference between Shopping campaigns vs Search campaigns

It’s important when you are selling your products, to decide which type of campaign will work most effectively for your business and also for your products. One key aspect with Shopping campaigns is that the focus is quite strongly on the price of your product. Due to how these ads are displayed in the top area on the desktop and on mobile phones, online shoppers will quickly and easily see how your price compares to your competitors. Where you are not that strong on having a very competitive price, Google Search ads may deliver a better result.

How important is the landing page for getting conversions?

Your landing page is very key and integral with achieving strong campaign results. The Google Ads link provides the click through to your landing page (or product display page), however the decision to purchase is often highly influenced by your landing page. Consequently it’s important to have a well presented, marketing focused landing page. Don’t underestimate this in any way.

Is there a difference between Google Ads Smart mode and Expert mode?

Yes, there is a very significant difference between these two. Google Ads running under Smart mode, often notated with ‘Smart Campaign’ is a much more junior mode of using Google Ads. Expert mode has considerably more features, settings and management controls than the more junior version of a Smart campaign.

As a result of the more extensive features in Expert mode, you will be able to more effectively manage, target and use a greater range of the inbuilt features in the Google Ads platform. It does take time and learning to use these more advanced features, but if you are serious about wanting to maximise your returns with Google Ads, its the mode you need to use.

I’m a smaller sized business can Google Ads works for me?

Yes they can, and with being a smaller sized business we can control a number of key settings. This includes your daily budget, the size and selection of the location that your ad/s will display in, and the selection and number of keyword phrases to trigger the display of your ad. What’s more, with Google Ads campaigns can quickly and easily be turned on or off (put on pause). That’s one of its key strengths, being highly responsive to the needs of your business. Google Ads offers a simple and easy way for smaller sized businesses to effectively promote their products and services online.

Do Google Ads influence your SEO rankings?

Sadly, not really. Google sees the distinction between paid PPC on page activity and organic SEO based activity.

Do you link our Google Ads accounts with Google Analytics?

Yes we do, we believe in closely tracking and monitoring your campaigns performance, and key to that is having data being captured in your Google Ads account, as well as being linked up to your Google Analytics (GA4) account.

As a local Wellington business can we target just the Wellington region?

Yes, we can. Google Ads can be targeted to just covering your local region very effectively. This includes being able to effectively target specific locations such as Wellington city, Wellington region, Porirua, Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt. Plus even better, being able to set a radius of coverage from a set street address point. Be assured, there are a lot of options and controls around location and targeting of your Google Ads.

Are Google Ads good for lead generation?

Yes they are. When prospective customers are searching for your type of service, and they type in one of your selected keyword phrases, your Google Ads will display. These are placed at the top of the Search page results, in the top 4 positions, before the organic results show. By being higher up on the page, and displayed with your Google Ads text, it improves the likelihood of customers clicking on your ad. They then are naturally taking to your chosen landing page. Your Google Ads, in essence are acting as ‘click bait’ to drive customers to your website.

As part of your monthly management fee what do you do?

With all Google Ads campaigns it’s important to closely monitor and review your campaign set up. With all new campaigns we closely check and monitor your keyword settings, looking for any negative keyword search terms that we need to get immediately attached to your campaign, to minimise ‘ad display’ waste, and to make appropriate amendments and refinements. In addition to keyword monitoring, we review and track the performance of your individual Google Ads, SiteLinks, Call Extensions, conversions, Average CPC, bidding strategy, and other ad optimisation tasks. Our Google Ads services are targeted and designed to support small and medium-sized businesses, hence our competitive monthly management fee.
